A longtime diabetic field service technician for an electrical equipment company stepped on a nail that happened to be sticking out of a pallet. Because of his diabetes he developed an infection, and osteomyelitis in the foot. After he returned to work, the injury caused him to overuse the right foot, which led to an injury to the right foot. The combined injuries left the injured worker unable to do his job any longer. Our Team was able to secure an award of $125,591 from the employer and lifetime benefits through the Second Injury Fund.
