A flight attendant was injured when turbulence made a beverage cart door strike her knees, causing her to fall backward and injure her low back. The worker was put on opioid painkillers and died after several years of use. At trial, Our Team was able to persuade the court that the amount of opioids prescribed (and the length for which they were prescribed) were not reasonable or necessary and ultimately led to the worker’s death. Our Team was able to secure the widower a lump sum settlement of $225,000.
